Let me explain: I live in slovakia. We have official live accounts, just like in the U. Difference is that for that same price we dont get tv and music. Not even voice control over xbox despite my console's locale set to english. Now in august, all game promotions stopped working for slovak and czech live accounts. So I said to myself: I pay the same as rest of europe, but getting less games, features and less quality of service in general. Why not to switch to uk account? So I've done it. Now I cant download halo because there's a region lock.

I'd switch back to sk account but I can't for next three months ms's rules. Alas I used vpn. Not happy bout it, but I think that I didn't have other choice. Exactly the same thing for me. I changed my locale from UK to Slovakia at the beginning of the year and it was all fine.

Suddenly though, GfG disappeared and my dashboard lost all promotions, events and anything interesting around August.
